Stock:
- Original Mazda’s solution to use incandescent light bulb is out of date and your NB might want a small improvement in this area.
- Most (90% and more) of regular bulbs power dissipates as heat which is opposite to this kit
- Short lifespan – up to 1000 hours when running constantly without switching compared to at least 100 000 hours of LED
Conversion module:
- Quality Samsung branded LEDs for that wanted extra longevity
- Uses 3 times less power (6W instead of 21W standard) – strains your electrical system less, leaves more power for other accessories
- Spreads light better – LEDs are spread across the whole surface of the light – better visibility at any angle
- Plugs right into the same socket with supplied adapter
This DIY kit includes:
- LED conversion module – you will glue it into your housing, plug right into your old bulb socket, no soldering needed.
- New seal (if chosen) – old seals are cracked and leak water and rust isn’t a good weight reduction for a Miata, is it ?
- Tube of glue to hold the board in place (only if choosing to be shipped with regular mail, courier services do not allow glue in airmail*)
Versions which I offer, you can choose one or any 2 together to switch (while ordering leave a note writing both of them, or contact me via email)
- Simple – all LEDs on simultaneously
- Classy – sequential which starts from the centre, keeps all LEDs lit afterwards
- Race – flashing to bring maximum attention
- Custom – this could be “Classy” with scrolling (knight rider like) effect or for example “Race” which after some (you choose how many) flashes stops at “full on” state or something custom we come up with you
Boards are tested and lacquered to protect solder joints and components from the environment.
